Whether sewing, knitting, patchwork or other crafts is your thing ladies, this is the night for you!

We meet on the second and fourth Wednesday of every month at 7.30pm.

We begin our time with someone bringing a short message from God's Word followed by an opening prayer.

Some of the items we make go into the missions box to be sent abroad to help the work of Wakisa Ministries in Uganda. We also give a donation each week with the money going to mission. Last years gift was sent to 'River of Life Ministries' in Borneo and Sight Savers, a UK based international charity which fights avoidable blindness and promotes equal opportunities for visually impaired people.

Some ladies say they can't knit or sew, but at the end of a session it is amazing to see the beautiful items made - bags, wall hangings, toys, table runners, blankets, cushions, jumpers and much more.

So ladies, please come and join us. We enjoy a good chat as we work, and then to end the evening we have a lovely supper. Just come and learn a new skill. You will be so welcome.

The Ladies Breakfast & Bible study meet monthly at 8.30am on the third Saturday of each month, from September to June, at 8.30am for breakfast followed by a bible study from 9am to 10am.

It's a great time of fellowship over the breakfast table to share what has been going on in our lives and encourage each other while being served by the men who come so faithfully.

This sets us up well for our Bible study, which commences around 9am.

This year we are enjoying a ‘Geared for Growth’ study on the book of James which is proving to be both challenging and encouraging as we discover the importance of the relationship between faith and works.

We also have fun as we share our thoughts on the study and our life experiences as we seek to live our lives as daughters of the Living God.

The Men's Breakfast and Bible Study meet on the first Saturday of every month at 8am for Bible study followed by tea, coffee and toast for those who could stay a little longer.

It is a great time of fellowship for the men, both young and old. It is an opportunity to get to know each other better, share together and to gain a better understanding of God's Word.

Everyone is happy to contribute but don't let that put you off coming - you can just sit and listen if you want! So if you're 18 or 99; well-versed or not well-versed in the Bible, it doesn't matter. Come along and enjoy the fellowship, banter and most importantly learn more about the Word of God.

We are currently studying a series on the ‘Sermon on the Mount’. I can safely say that we have had some interesting conversations and debate together, not always on the topic in question and we are always learning.

We meet at the Church every month from September to June.

Our 'Mums in Touch' group is part of an international network of mums who meet to pray for our children, schools and teachers..

At AEC our definition of a mum includes Grandmothers and any women with a mother's heart who want to pray with us.

At AEC our definition of a mum includes Grandmothers and any women with a mother's heart who want to pray with us.

We each take turn to lead with a passage of scripture, or something that we have read, or maybe play a song that has touched us.

Following a time of thanksgiving and silent confession, we begin to pray for our children and friends, the children of the church, friends in Australia, a young boy in Gran Canaria, schools in Newtownards, and also Malta, Gozo and Glasgow. We also pray for the christian teachers and headteachers.

Our morning ends with prayers for upcoming AEC events, prayers for the sick, and any who have specially asked for prayer.

This year prayers were answered as we saw some of our young people step up into leadership roles in our small groups, as well as becoming leaders in their school SU

Lamentations 2:19 "Pour out your heart like water, lift your hands to Him for the lives of your children."

We are convinced that it is necessary for the people of the church to come together, as one, to pray and be found in His Word.

We meet for Prayer Meeting every Thursday night from 8.00pm, with a short introduction.

We meet for prayer every Sunday evening in the upstairs study from 5.45pm until 6.15pm, before the evening service, and also in the main church sanctuary every Thursday night, after our 8pm Bible Study, from 8.30pm to 9.15pm.
